Orlando Crash Report: Semi-Truck Accident Shuts Down I-4 Exit to Florida Turnpike

Orlando, FL (May 31, 2026) – A crash involving a semi-truck has shut down the westbound I-4 exit onto the Florida Turnpike in Orlando, causing major traffic disruptions as crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the incident along this key interchange route.
In a separate incident, a man died on Wednesday morning, May 20, after being struck by multiple vehicles along John Young Parkway in Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The deadly hit-and-run crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. south of Oak Ridge Road.
Troopers said a sedan traveling northbound first hit the pedestrian as he walked in the roadway outside a marked crosswalk. Investigators believe at least four vehicles struck the man before leaving the scene without stopping.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the site. Investigators identified one suspected vehicle as a dark gray 2024–2025 Kia K5 with heavy front-end and undercarriage damage. They also reported that a white Honda Civic, a dark gray Kia Soul, and a semi-truck may have also been involved in the collision.
Officials noted that the roadway was dark at the time of the crash. John Young Parkway remained closed for several hours before reopening around 8:30 a.m. The victim’s identity has not yet been released. Traffic homicide investigators continue working to identify all drivers involved in the fatal incident.
