Should I take any photographs if I was injured in a slip and fall?

Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

If you’ve been injured in a slip and fall, it is very important that you take photographs. Take photographs of what caused your fall. If there are puddles of water, take closeups, take far away pictures. If water is leaking from a cooler, take pictures of those. If there’s a merchandise that’s made you fall, make sure that that is properly captured. If you’re unable to take those photographs, ask a witness to take those photographs for you and get their name and phone number.

It is very important that you preserve evidence right after an accident, because the store is going to clean up that as soon as possible, they are going to fix whatever is that caused your fall and you may lose the ability to prove your claim.
